After our dear cat Church was diagnosed with lymphoma we consulted with Dr. Chew. She was very comforting to talk to and provided us with a wealth of information as well as suggestions on how to cope. We were working with an oncologist but wanted to have things in place when Church finally failed. I am happy that we had a wonderful nine months with Church before we needed Dr. Chew's services.
Dr. Susan Chew has a lovely, gentle manner about her. She was able to help us send our beloved Church on his way in the most dignified, and comfortable manner possible. She coached us in advance about what was going to happen and made suggestions that we would never had thought of to make our last moments with Church so special. She seemed to bring a true sense of calm into the room with her which was a blessing for both us and Church.
Dr. Chew followed up with us to see how we were doing and again gave us valuable suggestions to help with our grief.
We feel so lucky to have found Dr. Susan Chew to help us through a very emotional time. Thank you Dr. Chew.

Dr. Chew provided compassionate care for two of my beloved cats during their final months and days. She patiently fielded my sometimes frantic calls related to pain medications and, when the time neared for my pets’ transition, gently balanced my grief with guidance for planning their end-of-life journey. She helped us make our cats as comfortable as possible throughout the whole process and helped our family through the difficult transition. I have recommended Dr. Chew to several friends in need of similar care and will continue to do so.

We called Dr. Chew when we had to make the difficult decision about putting down our beloved 14-year old cat. Misha was terminally ill and unable to eat or drink, but she seemed to still enjoy being loved, so we were debating whether to wait. Dr. Chew listened with compassion, without making us feel that there was any right or wrong way to approach this decision. When she came to our house, she was patient with us and very gentle with Misha. In the end, it was a sad but peaceful process, and we were able to feel that we had done the right thing for Misha. Dr. Chew understands the grief of losing a pet, and her approach is to support the pet's people as well as perform her veterinary work. She even followed up to be sure that we were doing all right. We truly appreciate how much she helped us.

Thank goodness for Dr. Susan Chew!
My sweet tuxedo cat, Velvet was diagnosed with a tumor between her ear canal and throat. I contacted Dr. Chew. Her kindness and compassion were evident as soon as we spoke.
With her excellent listening skills, patience, and valuable guidance, I made it through the tough times. Dr. Chew’s suggestion to raise my cat’s food bowl allowed Velvet to eat comfortably for several more days.
My entire experience with Dr. Chew was wonderful. Velvet and I were fortunate to have Dr. Chew come to our home, become my friend, and be a completely non-threatening person close by.
We should all be so lucky to go as calmly and serenely in the warmth and comfort of our home.

Little Kitty was put to sleep yesterday morning, as I held her in my arms on our porch. Our good friend, Mitch, was with us.
Dr. Chew had come the night before to provide hospice care, and spent 2 hours with us. She was very thoughtful and caring. She left some pain medicine to ease Little' Kitty's discomfort. I spent the night next to her on the floor and she would purr when petted.
Yesterday, I told her to look for Charley and Nimrod at the Rainbow Bridge, that I'd see her pretty soon, and that "I love you Little Kitty". She passed quickly and peacefully. Dr.Chew spent a good while longer talking with me. I think she was a Godsend for us. I'm grateful to have had one more night with Little Kitty and that she could be home at the end. I miss Little Kitty, the best-est big jumping kitty, ever!

Dr. Chew helped us through the difficult decision to say goodbye to our Bibi, our much loved kitty. Dr. Chew had all the patience in the world with my husband and me. She explained everything in detail, with love and compassion. She answered the same questions more than once. We were so sad that we kept going in circles with our decision on what to do. Dr. Chew was gentle and confident, which was important for us in that horrible moment. We chose the right person to help us make the right decision.

Losing a pet is very difficult. You get so close to these dear creatures and they bring so much joy. Having someone special to help them take the next journey is very comforting and having this take place in your home is essential to seeing them off with love and gratitude. Dr. Susan Chew was the person that guided our kitty on the next journey; she was kind, patient and made the entire euthanasia go smoothly, with a spirituality and caring nature that really helped us through our grief. We highly recommend her!

My sweet Catalina had been having health problems , but had always bounced back. Then she started to seem less comfortable. I called Dr Susan Chew for hospice care, and she was such a wonderful help. She offered valuable insights and advice; guidance to help me decide when the time was "right", and pain management options to keep Catalina as comfortable as possible. When the point came that I felt Catalina was having too hard of a time, Dr Chew came to my home to assist with her transition. It meant a lot to have my sweet kitty be at home, in her favorite spot.
